The Park    A Reconstituted Ecosystem

A paradise for crocodiles

At CROCOPARC, space was reflective towards bringing together several important elements in order to welcome the crocodiles into a comfortable habitation.

Through waterfalls and cascades, water is oxygenated and filtered throughout the aquatic vegetation.

As the crocodile's body temperature is reliant on the function of air temperature, it can cool off in water, warm up on wide sunny beaches or, in case of excessive temperature, protect itself in burrows.

Sandy areas have been provided for spawning females and varying levels of ponds are used to limit any confrontations and finally, the living spaces are large enough to ensure good health amongst the resident crocodiles.
